Al Rawdah Mosque
Back to ProjectsIt is the largest mosque in the western side of Saham. The masjid has the capacity of over 1000 worshipers. It consists of a main prayer hall for gents, liwan, ladies prayer hall, library/education center, Imam’s residence, shops and amenities. All water produced is recycled and used for irrigation. The building design converted the challenging aspect of entering from the western (Qibla) side to an architectural opportunity by creating large arched and open to sky entry walk way celebrated at the end by entering the mosque from underneath the elegant minaret which is an unusual architectural solution for such a challenge.
