Architect of Record
Back to ProjectsEvery building design must comply with statutory regulations so permits are granted prior to the commencement of construction. In Oman, there are 25 authorities that may or may not be required to review/approve the proposed building design, depending on type, size and location of the project.
A simple villa on flat land would only need approval from two authority, Ministry of Housing and Municipality. For a 5-star Hotel in Muscat, the list would increase to 10 authorities. Each authority in Oman has its own set of rules, regulations, standard procedures, particular forms, typical letters, method of presentations, time for submission etc that must be followed to expedite the approval process. Some require application to be lodged manually, others via online submission through a locally registered architecture firm.
With over a decade of experience, earc Sabla invented a dedicated system with a detailed step-by-step process for obtaining approval from all authorities in Oman. This put us forward as a leading consultant firm in the AOR services in Oman by integrating local code requirements with our engineering design solutions along with wide range of networks to facilitate a smooth approval process. Our AOR services are very popular with international consultants, developers and owners who wish to get guidance on local Omani codes so that their building gets approved smoothly with minimal counter-productive re-works.
